Went to Nuba for my birthday and had a really good time celebrating with friends and of course my husband, James. Now that's he's working in Alberta a month at a time, it's was sheer chance that he was back just in time for it. Food was good, especially the crispy cauliflower called Najib's Special. Best cauliflower I've ever eaten! It truly is. Since we had a group of 10, the server recommended a party menu. Everyone would share in the hot and cold dishes and order a meat. I thought the meat came with the normal sides of an entree but it really was just a skewer of meat. I ordered the lamb which was nicely cooked but I literally got only 1 skewer and additional skewers were $7/skewer. The price was reasonable $20/head but I was quite taken aback with that one skewer of meat. Servers were very pleasant and helpful and the food was good. Ultimately I found it to be a good deal since we didn't leave hungry but I sensed that the meat lovers could have done with a bit more meat. Great place for vegetarians.

Talked about brunch the night before, so we had a couple of friends over plus James' schoolmate. We had all the fixin's, bacon, breakfast sausages, potatoes, chicken wings, toast and beer. James was kept busy in the kitchen till about 2.30pm when we finally ate and we were busy with the new TV and PS3. All in all, I had a fantastic weekend!

Blogging at 12:30am
Just revived my interest in blogging and will give this a go since I can actually link this up to Ravelry. Found a fantastic pattern book that I really want to knit but it's in French and I have no way of purchasing it since the website actually says that the book has been "exhausted". Or rather google translated it to this word. Epuise....is what was slapped over it.
Emailed them to see if I could still purchase the Christmas Duo and asked if I would be able to read the pattern even though I didn't know how to read in French. Fingers crossed as I find out.

As Mrs Ward
So I've sent out emails and websites about my wedding to James and I trust that everybody should have gotten the message by now. And maybe this is for those who didn't get the email.
Getting married was quite surreal, as James put it and it is the same for me too. But all in all, it's a good feeling and it was a good thing that happened. In the end it wasn't a hard decision to make. It was just a matter of when. I have always disliked all the fuss when it came to big weddings. It can be such a hassle, very tiring and stressful. So hopefully when it comes down to celebrations with friends and families, it will be a "by-the-group" event, in different places at different times. It's more manageable and we get to catch up more intimately. I would like to go to Hong Kong and London to visit my closest friends together with my husband and slowly but surely, one day I'll be there.
I'm still getting used to the idea of being Mrs Ward. It hasn't really sunk in yet. I don't feel any different on a day to day basis and yet it's different. It must be this ring around my finger. James definitely looks great with the ring around his finger. He looks very stylish with it. He likes being called dapper.
No plans for a honeymoon yet. Our truck woes aren't over. The truck is currently with the mechanic. Hopefully get it fixed by today.
So, check out my small website on our wedding if you haven't yet.
